The clean technology boat

The boat will be gritblasted tomorrow and we'll bring her into the workshop.

We're getting ready to paint the exterior of the boat, a dark duck egg blue (RAL 6033 'Mint turquiose') with cream coachlines. She will be moving into the paint workshop soon.

Here is the engine, delivered by Graeme Hawksley on Thursday.

The boat has been ballasted with 40 blocks in each bay arranged slightly to the starboard side to accommodate a fit-out favoured to portside.

The sprayfoam insulation has been applied and we're starting to cut it back.

Nic has finished the battening out ready for sprayfoam insulation.
